Re: [bioontology-support] Consequences of IP address change in OntoPortal 3 virtual machine? (email@example.com bounce)
I'm forwarding your inquiry to [hidden email], which is still our primary support address for the OntoPortal software. (But we may have to forward the other one if we aren't already—it's awfully easy for me to accidentally type the one you used. Did
you see it in a particular place?)
When you are in a different networking environment that can definitely affect the setup needed for you Virtual Appliance's networking environment. These things can be subtle, and it's kind of hard to troubleshoot except by trial and error.
Hi, John. I just sent a support request to [hidden email] but it bounced. Can you help me in any way here?
Here’s the my original message:
I have an OntoPortal 3 virtual machine on my laptop. It was working nicely last time I was at home. Now I’m in a hotel and the VM has been assigned a different IP address. I can get to the web portal but don’t see “anything" but the following
on every page:
We're sorry but something has gone wrong. We have been notified of this error.
Could this be a result of the new IP address? Or something with the Hotel’s firewall? I’m using VirtualBox 6.1.
